Privacy

A practical account of the data we keep.

Last operational review: 3 October 2026. This page describes the product as implemented; it does not claim certifications we have not obtained.

Account and saved research

We store your name, normalized email address, secure authentication records, account tier, profile preferences, saved companies, lists, searches, alerts, and notifications. Passwords are handled as password hashes by the authentication system and are never displayed to us.

Product and search analytics

We record limited events such as searches, filters, profile views, saves, and inquiry starts. Anonymous activity uses a random first-party identifier. We do not copy claim, inquiry, or feedback message text into analytics.

Claims, inquiries, and feedback

Claim and business-inquiry forms contain information you choose to submit for manual review or routing. They are not made public. Feedback enters an internal review queue. Company-directory sources remain separate from user-account data.

Transactional email

We may send password resets, request confirmations, status changes, important account notices, and opted-in alert digests. These are operational messages, not marketing. Delivery metadata records the message type, delivery state, recipient domain, and provider identifier—not the message body or a secret credential.

Retention targets

Sessions
Until expiry or logout; expired records are cleaned automatically.
Saved account data
Until you delete it or delete the account.
Product/search analytics
Operational target: 13 months.
Claims and inquiries
Operational target: 24 months, then personal fields and message content are redacted while minimal status history may remain.
Notifications and email metadata
Operational target: 12 months.
Feedback
Operational target: 18 months before personal fields and message content are removed.

These are operational retention rules rather than promises that data is retained for a legally mandatory minimum. Backup copies may persist for their normal recovery lifecycle.

Deletion and contact

You can delete your account from the account page. Saved research, sessions, and account-linked analytics are deleted. Claims, inquiries, and feedback are redacted so their review history does not misleadingly disappear. To report a privacy or data issue, use the feedback form without placing sensitive information in the message.
